How inkMyPaper.sg collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data — written in plain English, and aligned with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012.

We Ask for the Minimum. We Keep It Briefly. We Never Sell It.
To quote and deliver your order we need three things: a way to contact you, your brief, and a payment confirmation. That is the whole list. We do not ask for your student ID, your matriculation number, your university login, or your tutor's details — and you should never send them.
Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or lead brokers. It is never used to build a profile of you. It is stored only for as long as your order and its revision window are open, plus the retention period Singapore law requires for financial records.
This policy applies to everything at inkmypaper.sg — the quote form, WhatsApp conversations, email exchanges, and the delivery of your completed work. If any part of it is unclear, ask us before you order rather than after.
Your name is never disclosed to your writer. Writers receive a brief and an order number — nothing else. No student ever appears in a case study, a testimonial, or a sample without written permission given separately.
What We Collect — and Exactly Why
Four categories. Nothing beyond what an order genuinely requires.
Contact Details
Your name (or a preferred first name), email address, and WhatsApp or phone number. Used only to send your quote, deliver your file, and answer your messages. A nickname is perfectly acceptable — we do not verify identity.
Your Brief and Uploads
Assignment questions, rubrics, module outlines, lecture slides and reading lists you choose to send. Shared with your assigned writer under the order number only. Please redact your name and student ID from any file before uploading.
Payment Confirmation
We never see or store your full card number. Payments are processed by licensed gateways; we receive only a transaction reference, the amount, and a success or failure status, which we keep for accounting and refund handling.
Basic Site Analytics
Anonymised page views, device type, approximate region and referring source. Used to fix broken pages and understand which services students need. This data is aggregated and cannot be traced back to you individually.
How Your Data Is Stored and Protected
Encryption in transit, restricted access internally, and deletion on a fixed schedule.
Our Security Commitments
Good intentions are not a security policy. These are the specific controls we apply to every order, every day — and the ones we will tell you about honestly if they ever fail.

Your Rights Under the PDPA
Email us and we act within 24 hours. No forms, no escalation queue.
Right to Access
Ask us what we hold about you and we will send a complete copy, along with how it was used in the past twelve months. No charge, no reason required.
Right to Correction
Wrong email on file? Name spelled differently? Tell us and we correct it immediately, and notify anyone we shared the incorrect detail with.
Right to Deletion
Ask us to erase everything and we will, except the financial records Singapore law requires us to keep. You will receive written confirmation once it is done.
Right to Withdraw Consent
Stop marketing messages at any time by replying "STOP" or emailing us. Order-related messages continue only while an order is live, then stop automatically.
Exactly How Long We Keep Each Thing
Most services stay vague here. We would rather give you the actual numbers.
Your Brief and Uploads
Assignment questions, rubrics, module outlines and any file you sent us are held only while the revision window is open, plus a short buffer in case you come back with a follow-up. After that they are permanently erased from our systems and from the writer's workspace.
Contact Details
Your email and phone number stay on file for a year after your last order, so that returning students do not have to re-explain their course, their referencing style or their tutor's preferences. Ask us to remove them sooner and we will, same day.
Payment Records
Transaction references, amounts and invoice records must be retained for five years under Singapore's record-keeping rules. This is the one category we cannot delete on request. It contains no card numbers and no details of what was written.
Things We Will Never Do With Your Data
A privacy policy is only as good as the things it rules out. These are ours.
Never Sold, Rented or Traded
Your details are not a product. We do not sell contact lists, we do not rent them to education agents, and we do not trade them with other writing services. There is no scenario in which your data becomes revenue for us.
Never Disclosed to Your Institution
We do not confirm to any university, tutor, department or investigator that you are a client — not by email, not by phone, not in response to an informal enquiry. The only exception would be a valid Singapore court order, which we would tell you about.
Never Published as a Sample
Your delivered work is never uploaded to a sample library, never shown to a prospective client, and never quoted in marketing. Testimonials on this site come only from students who agreed to them separately and in writing.
Never Used for Retargeting Ads
We run no advertising pixels and build no audience lists. Visiting this page will not cause writing-service adverts to follow you across social media — which, for a service like ours, is a privacy risk in itself.
Cookies, Transfers and Everything Else
Cookies We Use
Essential cookies keep your quote form working between pages. Analytics cookies count visits anonymously. We run no advertising or retargeting pixels — you will not be followed around the internet after leaving this site.
Overseas Transfers
Some tools we rely on store data outside Singapore. Where that happens, we only use providers offering protection comparable to the PDPA, and we transfer the minimum data those tools need to function.
Students Under 18
Our services are intended for students aged 18 and above. If you are under 18, please use this site only with a parent or guardian's involvement. If we learn we hold data from a minor without that consent, we delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how we handle your data, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes are emailed to anyone with an active order at least seven days before they take effect.

Privacy Questions Students Actually Ask
Do I have to use my real name?
A first name or a nickname is enough. We never verify identity and we never ask for a student ID or matriculation number. All we truly need is a working email address to send your file to.
Does my writer see who I am?
Writers work from an order number and a brief. Your name, email, phone number and payment details are never passed to them. If you write your name inside an uploaded file, we redact it before the brief goes out.
Will my order show on my bank statement?
Charges appear under a neutral merchant descriptor, not a phrase describing academic writing. If you would like to know exactly how it will read before paying, ask us and we will tell you upfront.
